Head Coach | Amanda Nordberg

Amanda Nordberg, Head Coach and newly appointed Assistant to the Athletic Director, enters her seventh year at the helm of the NJCAA DI nationally ranked Lady Cavalier Softball Program.  The Lady Cavs completed the 2021 spring season 46-8 including an impressive 23-1 Region XIV East Conference finish.  The 46 wins set the single season win record in program history for the third time under Nordberg and is the fourth 40 plus win season since 2017.  The Cavaliers saw their final loss of the season in the championship game of the Region XIV Regional Tournament against National Tournament participant, Trinity Valley Community College.

The 2021 NJCAA DI Region XIV East Conference Champion team was awarded with 11 Region XIV East All Conference selections, 8 Region XIV All Region Selections, Conference Pitcher of the Year, both Co-Conference Players of the Year, Region XIV Player of the Year, and Region XIV 'Coaching Staff of the Year'.  Three Lady Cavaliers in Uchenna Jong Loy, Dyllan Sanay and Tuli Sosi were recognized as National Fastpitch Coach's Association (NFCA) NJCAA DI All Americans.

In the fall of 2021, Nordberg was inducted into the University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletics Hall of Fame for her contribution to the 2010 GSC West Champion & NCAA Super Regional Finalist Cotton Blossom Team.  Amanda was also recognized as the Bossier Parish Community College Award Receipent for the LCTCS Outstanding Staff Memeber honor for 2021.

In a Covid-shortened 2020 season, the Lady Cavaliers went 20-7 and were on track to have another successful run.  Sophomore shortstop Ruby Butler signed a scholarship to play for the NCAA DI University of Maryland Terapins while Sophomore outfielder Rebecca Shepherd signed to play for the NCAA DII Southern Arkansas University Muleriders.
